Sapphire & Diamond Nozzles

Due to the high pressures and small diameter orifices, the high pressure water jetting industry has been searching for other materials ever since. This resulted in the use of all kind of exotic materials like ceramic, tungsten carbide, sapphire and even diamonds.

Due to the price and quality level the synthetically manufactured sapphire is up till now the most used material and used in all kind of applications of the high pressure water jetting industry. The variety in manufactures and designs has resulted that Salotech developed a complete program of sapphires up till pressures of 4000 Bar (60.000PSI)



The sapphire plates with diameters from 0,08mm and up are pressed in the desired holder (ST 1.4112 or ST1.4305) and are hold by glue and the fitting. The complete assemblies are available in 3 types. 

RX
Standard sapphire, used with pure water
and gives a round straight jet.

A
The Sapphire which is used for cutting, high pressure water jets in combination with hard abrasives. Gives a hollow cone jet to ensures a good mix of the water and abrasives for a constant cutting result an longer life time of the focusing tubes.

PX
Same as type a  only with a more hollow cone and used for cutting with polymer as cutting additive.
